First batch of election judges left the town hall building at 8:20 p.m., ballots came downstairs at 8:25 p.m.  Just waiting for someone to post the results near the front door.  Meanwhile, do you enjoy crazy cake decorating ideas?

The Estes Park Economic Development Corporation (EPEDC) is patting itself on the back because "the award for 'Small Community of  the Year' was presented" to them by the Economic Development Council of Colorado (EDCC) "on behalf of a town that sets its sights on building a more resilient, inclusive, and vibrant community and economy after recovering from the devastating Colorado floods in 2013." Impressions of the PHD meeting

The Timberline room was standing room only, with at least 40 citizens and hospital staff in attendance.  Bill Pinkham is not an effective leader, which we already knew, but he has this nervous habit of always trying to make a joke ("with the number of people already on the speaker's list, it looks like we'll be here until 10 o'clock") when lightening the mood is not appropriate, and frankly impossible, given the hamhandedness on the part of this board that led to people disrupting their schedule for an emergency meeting. At the open, the board was sitting there like cats with mouths stuffed full of canary, and introduced the HR guy like parents waking their kids up on Christmas, who said (and not much else) "Dr. MacElwee will return to the hospital on Wednesday."  Did MayBill really think this would either (A) immediately deflate the palpable tension in the room or (B) cause people to shower the board with praise and gifts, problem solved?  Suppose I...

Jeez we have a bunch of milquetoast pretend journalists in town. The guy who was arrested locally a few clicks back, Keaton M.A. Krell, is the same guy who sexually assaulted a bunch of underage females in Linn County, Kansas, and, brazenly, got away with it. The airtight connection is through his wife or ex-wife or whoever star pupil and non-profit wunderkind Candace Krell is. But even then, c'mon, how many folks named Keaton M.A. Krell are running around diddling little girls? Get some cojones, POR (paper of record) and POR (podcast of record). You did the work (sort of) now publish the findings. Stop hiding behind the town as an excuse to avoid going to press - the PIO and TA aren't going to give you anything because they are scared of their own shadows.
