So if I'm understanding you correctly, this behavior is wrong?

But isn't it a beautiful flower? Jury Instruction Number 5:  In this case, the prosecution has elected to rely for a conviction upon the offense alleged to have been committed in the month of September 1916, wherein it is claimed that the defendant made an examination of the private parts of the witness, Margaret Baldwin.  The exact date of the commission of said offense is not material, so long as the same, if committed at all, was committed within three years prior to the date of the filing of the information herein, which was the 23rd day of June 1917... And yes, to answer your question, horrified readers who live outside Estes Park, we still prominently and proudly (?) display that pedophile pika, in no ways a doctor, yet accused of examining the private parts of a 14-year-old girl.

Please, please, no more than two trustees at a time

Or you'll be in violation of Colorado open meeting laws.  And still, amazingly, still, two years after unveiling this monstrosity, Estes Park welcomes pedophiles to its downtown and its community with open arms (why discriminate?) with its cute little pedophile pika, the favorite of 4chan posters everywhere.

Okay, got it. Wait, what?

We spent how much on a headhunter, then narrowed the candidates down to three, and then, after an exhaustive interview process (and a reimbursement of their travel and lodging expenses, no doubt), whittled those three candidates down to none? http://www.eptrail.com/ci_31908610/vep-board-will-not-proceed-any-three-ceo Got it.  Umm, wait, does this mean Ms. Forgery is on a train pointed our direction?

Like when they suddenly realize they are headed for prison: Transcription for ease of searching: Tuesday, 25 September 1917 Fort Collins Express (daily except Monday) - Headline and subhead:  Prosecution Makes Change In Charge Against William Tenbrook Parke.  Estes Park photographer goes on trial in the district court...John C. Simms' testimony was chiefly to the effect that he had walked into the back room of the William Tenbrook Parke studio [on block 2] one day and found the girl [Esther Margaret Baldwin] sitting on William Tenbrook Parke's lap. And still, we still somehow have a pedophile pika?  Maybe we could relocate it to the back room of the former W.T. Parke studio, place it on a seated statue of W.T. Parke's tumescent lap.  Now that would be a real eye-opener (fly-opener?) of a scavenger hunt for the kiddies.

This makes no sense, but I'm including it anyway

Find the panda.  Then look for Al - Has he melted? Where is our 74-year-old impresario and money maker extraordinaire?  The man who could sell refrigerators to convicts, and sex toys to Catholic priests?  How many millions of that money raised for EPIC when it used to be on the big flat slab will be transferred over to the Stanley Fairgrounds project?  $10 million?  $25 million?  Even $1 million?  Did Al "Mint" Milano raise any money, or was it all spent on drawing architectural plans on napkins? I love change, in fact, I would love to see the pocket change EPIC currently has in the bank, compared to all the money they've spent filling the pockets of board members and architects and website designers.  It's May 2018, contributors.  Do you know where your money is?

This pamphlet is also incorrect, but at least it gets the part right about the Rooftop "Something" beginning in Estes Park in 1941.  The war actually interrupted the "annual" part of the count (with no rodeo held in 1942 or 1944), so in 1946, the rodeo should technically have called itself the fourth annual rodeo, but, again, at least it got the part right about the Rooftop Whatever beginning in 1941, not in the late 1920s, as the current rodeo committee continues to incorrectly assert, year after year.

The short list of potential pika honorees keeps growing

Get the Erin Byrd pika ready.  I blame the town's bland acceptance of the William T. Parke pedophile pika (two years on display, so no accident) for the recent spate of adult-on-child sex crimes.

Showing your ballot and who you voted for on social media is also a violation of state and federal election law, but no one ever accused the Park Hospital District of subtlety.  Just another violation thrown on top of the pile of violations, but who's counting?

And then removed all traces out of respect to the family.  News flash:  In the human organism, except for a limited number of people who beat the odds and gave rise to entire religions, death is inevitable.  Eventually in Estes Park, everyone will die and no one outside of the person who died will know about it because of HIPAA rules and to protect the fantasy that people live forever and nothing bad ever happens in Estes Park. However, another characteristic of humans is that at some point, people will find out, because no one is an island.  And we will be yet again disappointed that our newspaper won't update us on stories, or provide advance warning in case this is not a simple case of death by natural causes or self-choice, but is instead a highly communicable infectious disease.  Who is responsible then, and who is allowed to keep information from others out of selfishness or a misguided sense of propriety?  Why is Estes Park not allowed to have access to the same

Louise Tano, Olson's sister, said Olson was artistic and loved cooking. Olson had two children and was selfless. In short, Tano said the 66-year-old died as she lived. "Mary would do anything in the service of others," Tano said. "She didn't hesitate a second to protect this woman in need." Snyder's wife told police Monday that he had held her captive in his home on a cul-de-sac on Brown Farm Way over the weekend. Montgomery County police identified the visiting friend who was killed as Danny Lee Murphy, 70, of Brandon, South Dakota; and the dead contractor as Craig Harold Shotwell, 54, of Owings Mills, Maryland. Snyder's wife and two other adults managed to escape the home unharmed during the rampage. Snyder claimed in divorce filings that he was formerly a member of the armed forces, served on classified missions and was a contractor for local law enforcement agencies, but some people who came in contact with him doubted some of

Note the kids on bicycles - Estes Park had less than 50 school-age children in 1917  This is Elkhorn Avenue looking west around 1917, with block 2 on the right (plus a bit of the future Bond Park in the immediate right foreground) and block 5 on the left (with a small bit of block 6 in the distant left).  The post office with the community bulletin board and flag out front appears to be open for business, which would date this photograph to no earlier than 1914. Here's what a don't see:  I don't see the big neon Lewiston Hotels sign on the roof of the building replaced by the current Indian Village, which would date the photograph to 1921 or later if it were visible.  More importantly, I don't see the two-story Josephine Hotel in the location of the current Wheel Bar, which would date the photograph to 1918 or later if it were there. The Rocky Mountain National Park information building (now located on the museum campus) is the first building visible on the le

All of the Colorado Election Laws the Park Hospital District violated   Hey Bill, Note: I sent this last night but my other email address has been BLOCKED. Thanks for the reply. I must admit, I'm now even more confused. I asserted that the May 3rd solution was inappropriate, you "discovered" that it was indeed, in fact it was illegal. However, you do not have an alternate solution. What is the alternate solution? It's clear to me that neither you, the board, or the staff seem to understand the problem. I will explain: I received my ballot on Saturday. It's not clear if a ballot mailed after that time will make it to

You might as well too.  Warning:  Certain images are cartoon graphic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYOjWnS4cMY Contrary to what's already out there, I don't think after the first gunshot that is an electric bass that takes over, I think it is a bass synth.  I could be more on board with this whole project if the music matched the choreography and the concept.  No one will be humming this "Afrobeats-derived" tune or dancing to it in nightclubs, rather, it is already more of a social commentary experiment, a "did you catch X or Y in the background?" water cooler game. But you have to admire Donald Glover's (as Childish Gambino's) unapologetic "nakedness" about tackling this subject.  Yes, we know, the entire video is slightly derivative of the Kenzo World extended contorted commercial directed by Adam Spiegel/Spike Jonze, but Glover's wild-eyed "whites of the eyes" terror as he flees (from all the chaos he's/we'

A lawyer is on top of this, and we are petitioning a judge to have all mail ballots allowed as long as they are postmarked by 8 May, regardless of where they are postmarked.  This will delay the official results until 16 May.  Also, if any of you have taken advantage of the Medical Center's offer to drop off ballots to your house or deliver them for you, if you could please keep a written record of your interactions - Time of arrival, length of stay, any conversation exchanged, individual's full name.  It would be even better if you could video record this interaction on your cell phone, obviously with the individual's permission. We are attempting to stop this ill-advised attempt to placate voters who have difficulty leaving their home, or who want to take advantage of the Medical Center's new "valet ballot delivery" service.  We understand the good intention, but the road to campaign violation is paved with good intentions, and this ad hoc solution is in

My ballot arrived on Saturday.  I was in Denver and Golden Saturday morning, so didn't have the opportunity to check my mail or complete my ballot until after the mail from Estes Park went out Saturday at 12:30 p.m.  So if I stick my completed ballot in the mail today (Sunday) or tomorrow prior to 4:30 p.m., since the only outgoing mail from the Estes Park post office won't leave Estes Park until Monday at 4:30 p.m., it is very unlikely my ballot will make it to the hospital by Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. If you find yourself in the same situation, you are encountering what is known as voter disenfranchisement, or passive voter suppression.  This is illegal, but, of course, for the Estes Park Medical Center when it comes to elections or special elections, this is what is known as SOP, or Standard Operating Procedure. So who should you contact if you have yet to receive a ballot, or received a ballot in the mail too late to mail it back in and have it arrive at the hospital prior

On Monday we were told the ballots would be in our mailboxes Tuesday or Wednesday, as they had been mailed out from California April 23.  On Wednesday, lacking ballots, we were elated to find out they would arrive no later than Thursday.  Now, on Friday, ballot deficient, we are told not to despair, they are at the post office, and should be in our grubby little hands this afternoon.  I didn't receive my ballot this afternoon, despite receiving other mail, but maybe I'm just one of the unlucky ones.  I will get up bright and early Saturday and know that my Park Hospital District CEO and Board are reliable and steadfast and never failing.  They had one job in April (they had more jobs, but they didn't make any progress on those other jobs, consumed as they were by getting ballots into the mail) and that was to print up and mail out the ballot.  If you are lucky, and not being jerked around yet again, you will get your ballot no later than 3 days prior to the election, whe

Morning rounds

The story currently making the rounds (and note, it is just another story, likely just another wild tale spun by the provider or the subject, who has more lies than vacation days) is that the hospital board ballots have been "intercepted" from the mail stream, and are sitting in the Estes Park Medical Center CEO's office. So, if true (and I repeat, if true) this is NOT a situation "out of their control".  This is very much a situation within their control.  Get a bunch of staff together and sort out those addressed to Estes Park post office box numbers from the Estes Park physical addresses from the out-of-town box numbers and physical addresses, and make a decision how much you want to spend.  The Estes Park post office box numbers can just get a regular stamp and, with a kind word to the local postmaster, should be able to make it into boxes by tomorrow at the latest.  The others?  Well, I guess it depends on how long these purported ballots have been sitt

Well, well, we suddenly have outside confirmation from a reliable independent source that the current hospital board proposal is not the proper way to handle missing ballots.  Thank you Art for returning some sense to this discussion.  How many election laws are being violated by suggesting hospital staff or board members be enlisted to deliver or pick up ballots?  Let me count the ways:  1...2...3...4...5...oh yeah, 6... 7....8....right, 9....I forgot 10....11....

Further proof the apocalypse is upon us

Question #1:  Who has received a ballot as of May 3, 2018?  Has ANYONE at ANY ADDRESS received a ballot through the mail? Question #2:  Explain how is this a circumstance beyond your control.  The ballots should have arrived well before May 3.  If that batch was somehow "lost", another batch could have been ordered and mailed and still arrived prior to May 3.  That is how a back-up plan works, how a "planning for any and all contingencies" risk management approach works.  The "team approach with division of labor according to expertise" model so often touted by the current board did not work in this case.  Why not? Question #3:  How are you going to fulfill your obligation to Estes Park or Larimer County property owners who are eligible to vote in this election but live outside of the county (either part-time or full- time, in any event, not during the April-May period in question), that is, how will you address their constitutional right to vote?  I

Oaky, this will pit hipsters and fashionistas directly against the "get off my lawn crowd", but if I saw one of these on my lawn, I would probably throw stones at the stupidity of spending $168 on a nonexistent pair of jeans, unless they included a roll of $168 cash in one of the pockets. But who am I to judge taste?  The manufacturer claims their denim six-string is "sold out".  This is an issue crying for transparency (well, the item itself is already pretty much transparent).  Forget if the feds did or didn't wiretap Cohen, the burning issue among today's intelligentsia is "How many units of this joke were produced initially in order for them to be declared 'sold out'?" Lest you question the need for knee straps (seriously, and cuffs, they just seem like extraneous fluff, but you know designers, and how they love flourishes), this is active-wear apparel, as demonstrated below. You can not wear these jeans anywhere - constructio
