Well, our crack police force with the help of Kate Rusch has outed another felon, in this case, self-professed "Alpine Geek" Brian Biggs, who ostensibly creates internet websites and helps film companies produce documentary footage when he is not downloading child pornography. The town randomly chooses who it subjects to these "perp walk", but in this case, I'm hoping the town administration is finally "woke" to the caustically degrading, horrific activity of pedophiles, and will begin the immediate removal/renaming of any pikas connected to any individuals historically linked to the sexual molestation of pre-teen girls. Emails to the town board through my regular account are now blocked from public view. So much for transparency. But what the hell do you readers care? It's just free news to you that you can edify yourself with as you sit on your couches eating Fritos, doing nothing except allowing your democracy to circle down the drain while the front line fighters get mowed down on your behalf. Hi all - Two things that I would be interested in the town media exploring when they get the time: 1) Those of you who have ever driven on our nation's interstate highway system may be familiar with the occasional annoying practice of some truck drivers occupying both lanes of the interstate (passing lane and driving lane) on the two-lane sections and not passing each other, just driving side by side for miles and miles and miles (generally well below the posted speed limit for normal driving conditions) without allowing anyone behind them to pass. Getting Hostiles

According to the IMDb website, some portion of the movie Hostiles was filmed in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Does this look like Pagosa Springs? The movie is gorgeously shot, and the locations are breathtaking.  Being somewhat familiar with Pagosa Springs, though, I'm having trouble matching any of the exteriors with anything within a 10-mile radius of Pagosa Springs. According to IMDb The railway station at Chama, New Mexico served as the stand-in for Butte, Montana.  Chama is about 50 miles away from Pagosa Springs, and Pagosa Springs definitely sent some of its own down to Chama to serve as extras, one of whom is currently pedaling coal from the Chama location on Ebay. A big-budget movie filming in a community of 2000 is generally a newsworthy event.  Filming of Hostiles took place in the summer of 2016, and Pagosa Springs' newspaper of record, the Sun , made no mention of stars Christian Bale, Rosamund Pike, Wes Studi, or director Scott Cooper hanging ou...
