Extra, extra, read all about it (somewhere other than Estes Park)
Yet another fatal crash ignored by the Trail-Gazette crack staff, whose motto is "if it didn't happen in our office, it didn't happen" |
Well, the fatal crash on U.S. 36 occurred Sunday evening, and it is now Tuesday morning. Does the Estes Park Trail-Gazette have an internet presence, and an ability to update its website? We are learning more about this crash from Fort Collins and Boulder than from Estes Park. Strange. Maybe the couple in the SUV is Jewish. Maybe that's why Mikey R. can't comment about them.
Also, I don't know if anybody heard that Town Administrator Frank Lancaster is retiring in August (provided we find a replacement, and provided he can find enough places to vacation), but the Coloradoan did (that's a Fort Collins paper), and closed their retirement profile (no hurry) with Frank's proudest moment, which is getting all the whiskey distilleries and beer breweries okayed in Estes Park. (Note: Alcohol has not been ruled out in the Porsche crash.) Long after we forget Frank Lancaster (and the beer will go a long way towards that), we will be driving in circles on Frank Lancaster Way.
