The final countdown

For those of you familiar with 80s glam rock, this is the band Europe 30 years later, with the Vinyl Countdown
The recall petition organizers were out in force this morning at 10:00 a.m.  They have until close of business tomorrow, 5:00 p.m. April 16, 2019, to submit their signatures.  They have not scheduled a photo session with the Trail-Gazette, so they are playing this quite close to the vest.  From breaking news elsewhere (efforting verification) they were not requested by the town clerk to provide just over the minimum number of signatures required.  Apparently, if true, the clerk doesn't care or place a limit on how many signatures over and above the minimum are included in the completed petition.  So the recall petition crew could submit 500 signatures or 5000 signatures, the amount over the minimum is not dictated or encouraged by the town clerk, if this information is accurate.  They may or may not be given additional time to gather replacement signatures if some of the signatures are rejected (like "Daffy Duck" or Patriots corner Dick Felt, neither of whom are registered to vote in Larimer County).

Beginning Wednesday, April 17, 2019, if petitions are turned in by close of business Tuesday, April 16, 2019, the public is allowed to look at the submitted petitions.  Fees may be required to do additional things with them as far as duplicating them, depending on how much staff time is required or how big a pain you are (if they are stapled together, they can't be unstapled, etc.), but citizens have the right to request time to view them.
