And then removed all traces out of respect to the family.
News flash:  In the human organism, except for a limited number of people who beat the odds and gave rise to entire religions, death is inevitable.
Eventually in Estes Park, everyone will die and no one outside of the person who died will know about it because of HIPAA rules and to protect the fantasy that people live forever and nothing bad ever happens in Estes Park.

However, another characteristic of humans is that at some point, people will find out, because no one is an island.  And we will be yet again disappointed that our newspaper won't update us on stories, or provide advance warning in case this is not a simple case of death by natural causes or self-choice, but is instead a highly communicable infectious disease.  Who is responsible then, and who is allowed to keep information from others out of selfishness or a misguided sense of propriety?  Why is Estes Park not allowed to have access to the same information residents of Chicago, Sarasota, Great Falls, or Wagon Mound enjoy?  Ever?
