Is Estes Truth dead?

Estes Truth used to be the go-to source of local information unobtainable through standard media outlets.  It once spoke of starting its own alternative newspaper.  The most recent entry on its website was mid-December, the most recent Facebook post a few days later.

Estes Truth's beginnings (or at least it's main thrust) can be traced to the no Loopers, who, although defeated, are certainly not dead.  An election is coming up this April, and only two of the three elected candidates need to be against the Loop to throw a major wrench in the works.

Naturally, I will be running, but have no chance of getting enough write-in votes.  CDIV (the one with the pedophile pika outside his shop) an ardent pro-Looper, as he was an ardent "EPIC should be downtowner" (how'd that all work out?) will be running, and it will be interesting to see if Estes Truth, if they are still alive, will endorse CDIV as they did last time.

It may be time for the folks behind Estes Truth to consider handing the mantle over to younger, more energetic posters.  The opposition needs a voice, and it is a shame when the opposition is reduced to fighting amongst each other because they have no patience, or have claws and a need to use them, and somehow see short-term setbacks as judgments on their character.  Some of these "stalwarts" are so weak in the spine, had they been on the Union side of the Great War after the first battle of Bull Run, they would have fled for Canada.  Either you are anti-Loop and will beat the bushes for winning candidates and support them to the hilt, or you have too much on your plate, and only feel comfortable lobbing insults at a pro-wrestling event.  How about actually writing a jeremiad, instead of asking to have it used in a sentence.

We'll see, but pro-Looper Art "Empty" Vassal, buoyed by his recent "win" at getting EF a $125,000 + benefits retirement package, will also likely file.  As an EPTG editorial board member, he will earn their endorsement, or whatever equivalent "push" they hand out now, having been embarrassed two elections running by backing donkeys in a horse race.  Last November, Art was really going to lay into a current town board member.  I've got four years of board meeting minutes from Gilpin County along with an article in Boulder Weekly.  How's everything been progressing for you along those same lines, Arty?  Can you walk the walk?

Lots of empty promises, I imagine, similar to the fading luster of a website that promised to look at Estes Park from another side.  Presumably, the underside, buried six feet beneath.
