Holy Effing Shint

This is really quite serious.  I included a screen grab of the entire page to put it in context.  Look how cases in Larimer County in the past week are off the effing chart.  Look how the largest number of cases are in the working-age population.  Estes Park has jumped from 1300 cases to 1500 cases in less than 10 days.

The problem is not whether or not Omicron is less destructive to the lungs, or less likely to result in ICU admissions.  The problem is "who is going to be able to staff the hospitals, who is going to be able to drive the ambulances, who is going to be able to teach your children?" when every third person calls in sick.

If you are not investing in a better mask, hell, if you are not double masking right now in Safeway, you are just asking to get infected.  Your vaccination status has very little impact on you contracting the Omicron strain of SARS-CoV-2.  So the anti-vaxxers created the reality they wanted to live in, now what are they going to do about it when there are no eggs on the shelves, and it threatens to devolve into all-out war in the bread aisle?  Oh right, they have all the guns.  They are going to shoot their way out of this problem.

According to the IMDb website, some portion of the movie Hostiles was filmed in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Does this look like Pagosa Springs? The movie is gorgeously shot, and the locations are breathtaking.  Being somewhat familiar with Pagosa Springs, though, I'm having trouble matching any of the exteriors with anything within a 10-mile radius of Pagosa Springs. According to IMDb The railway station at Chama, New Mexico served as the stand-in for Butte, Montana.  Chama is about 50 miles away from Pagosa Springs, and Pagosa Springs definitely sent some of its own down to Chama to serve as extras, one of whom is currently pedaling coal from the Chama location on Ebay. Jeez we have a bunch of milquetoast pretend journalists in town. The guy who was arrested locally a few clicks back, Keaton M.A. Krell, is the same guy who sexually assaulted a bunch of underage females in Linn County, Kansas, and, brazenly, got away with it. The airtight connection is through his wife or ex-wife or whoever star pupil and non-profit wunderkind Candace Krell is. But even then, c'mon, how many folks named Keaton M.A. Krell are running around diddling little girls? Get some cojones, POR (paper of record) and POR (podcast of record).
