Well, everything posted therein is technically true, except AM 1470, which we taxpayers are supporting financially for unclear reasons, was nowhere to be found during the evacuation of 22 October 2020.  White noise during a red hot run.  (In Europe, 22 October 2020 would be recorded as 22/10/2020, which is a convenient way to remember the great evacuation standstill of Estes Park in the twenty-first century, when we had no emergency radio station and no cars were moving on the roads out of Estes Park, kind of a stop-motion comedy with the tragedy part being that no one learned anything from the failed exercise - no policies will change, and everyone upon return immediately reverted to sheeplike complaints about the post office.)  We didn't even get to listen to the cycled warnings (and ads - TIS is never supposed to have ads, but the town uses taxpayer money to support ads benefitting the Art Center) about elk attacks or the danger of throwing pine cones at tourists

Meanwhile, another loss of life in Estes Park due to COVID.  How many more before our local board of rust-ees springs into action and does nothing beyond asking more obvious questions of the County Health Directors, accompanied by handwringing gestures and empty pronouncements of sympathy for folks HIPAA is bent on never letting us know to avoid? I love how Tom "Speedy" Gonzales describes them as "souls", as if he laid hands on each and every one of them at the bedside, soothing their transition to the afterlife.  Mebbe better to demonstrate, one again, how a mask should be worn proper-like, and how to stick a boot squarely in the ass of those refusing to comply. 

A way back when (this was a way back when in March), I got into an argument with someone on Facebook over his asinine and misguided goat-bleeting that SARS-CoV-2 was no worse than flu,  We were talking Italy, and he assured me Italy suffered through 36,000 deaths from influenza the preceding year, absolutely a made-up statistic to provide a generous cushion for what was to come, even though he probably made it up thinking it would never come.  So I said (and was kicked off because of it), "Check back with me, low I.Q. moron, when Italy surpasses 36,000 deaths from COVID."  That milestone was reached last month, and said rat pellet has yet to seek me out and apologize.  Probably he numbers among those coughing up a lung right now.  Even with the hyperinflated numbers this douchebag attributed to deaths caused solely by influenza in Italy in 2019 (the number is probably closer to 10,000, but who cares, I don't go around toting statistics relating to deaths overseas) the COVID death toll blasted right past that last month, and continues to climb into what will most assuredly be 50,000+ by year's end, even granting a total crackdown on public gatherings by Mattarella.  So the lesson here is: If you get kicked off of FB sites in Estes Park by cretin dwarfs for stating the obvious, your predictions should be accepted as prescient truth and taken mucho seriously, because local FB moderators are a bunch of diaper wetters and drug smugglers, while insights shared at no cost on this blog are, yet again and always, sprung from the well of actually knowing what the fuck is going on.
