We'll be doing this soon
Estes Park is quick to ape other tourist communities. Once we get the Loop and destroy downtown in the name of progress, we won't have to restrict tourism, the tourists will stop coming. Rocky Mountain National Park is already getting complaints from people who say they will never return because it's too crowded. Note: They did not say they will never return because they had to wait through two stoplights to get through downtown. The Loop (we now refer to it as the "DEL", in order to attract Del Webb to complete the conversion of Estes Park to another elderhostel) is kind of a self-limiting bribe we took to let other communities have our excess tourism dollars.
