Letter to a friend

The public notices have now been published for the two seats on the Hospital Board, election to be held Tuesday, May 8.  It is not a mail-in election, it is a day-of walk-in (or absentee).  Which means there will be a lot less voters this time around.  Which means it will be a lot closer outcome.  I'm sure the two current incumbents are going to run again, because they've only served for six months. and there is no "six months" in T-E-A-M.

The deadline to file is Friday, March 2 (Monday, March 5 for write-in candidates).

Because these are for four-year terms, it is imperative that Kathy Asche and Stacey Ferree and anyone else who mounted the successful recall campaign find some qualified candidates this time around, or run themselves, or admit their only interest was a vindictive one.  No excuses.  They have almost a month to convince one or more people to run, or run themselves.

The current cadre must be broken up, and sanity returned to the board, with opposing opinions and backgrounds creating a stronger whole.
