Of course, it's entirely possible Debbie Holmes is both
Debbie is to the far, far, right. Get it? Like hate group right. Like fascist right. |
It's clear, for an Estes Park Trail-Gazette self-penned editorial that uses "ravished" (meaning "raped") where "ravaged" (meaning "destroyed") is more appropriate, thus omitting the suggested sexual connotations (which are nonexistent, unless you are so jaded as to think the infecting virus is somehow engaged in oral sex) attached to an RNA virus infecting a human being, that no one at HQ is minding the store when it comes to fact-checking or proofreading submitted columns. Examples #1 through #12 are Debbie "Does" Holmes, the recently mentioned and oft-challenged (?mentally challenged?) misunderstander of what is really important in life (meaning not dying, and that is really important for those who want to continue living), who ended her column with a profound (?profoundly dumb?) question last week (at least she thought it was profound, because she repeated it), asking (almost threatening, as in threatening you with being labeled as stupid if you answered in the affirmative) "Are you going to get the vaccination?"
Well, no, Debbie, nobody is going to "get the vaccination"[sic], since this is impossible. People are going to chose whether or not to "get the vaccine" or "get vaccinated", but they are not going to chose whether or not to "get the vaccination" any more than they could choose whether or not to "get starvation" or "get the hospitalization".
Debbie, Debbie, Debbie. Little Debbie. The world is more than your sugar-laden, chemically modified snack cake, to chew on and regurgitate. There are real people out here, real readers with real educations and real life experiences. Folks privileged enough to be allowed in rooms where life came to an end, and the excuses and prevarication and arguing just to argue ceased being of any import. When will you stop putting your ignorance and racism and unthinking bigotry on full display? When will you, in your own words, stop the blatant and childish acting out and displayification?
