Are all Estes Park restaurants destined to be not good?

Maybe they should change their name to "Bird and Bugs"
The latest entry in the fair (and we're not talking county fair) is Bird and Jim's, which was beaten by a Fort Collins McDonald's, neither of which reached showed any excellence by being accorded the "excellent" rating.  Bleeech.

Why can't our Estes Park restaurants strive to be even good, let alone excellent?  Why must they always be mired in fair or marginal or unacceptable territory?  Are they unclean?  Are they consistently breaking standard rules of hygiene, food prep, and food storage?  Are they sloppy?  Do they only care about making money and skirting the fine line between half-assed and botulism?
