Can Estes Park ever help itself, or will it remain the gathering place of uneducated Coloradoans

Image
Estes Park residents appear way too many times in the newspaper for DUI charges and driving without a license, leading me to believe that an IQ test of even the most "educated" of Estes Park's residents would likely place it at the bottom of all Colorado towns not named Springfield.  (For those who don't know it, Springfield is an actual town in Colorado - that was not a bad Simpson's joke.) This is a hotel.  On a beach.  In Hawaii.  Where it is much warmer than Estes Park this time of year.  I'm selling it for $40 a day.  This is what is known as a gift.  Estes Park residents apparently think it is someone's used 1981 Ram pickup. I have been listing timeshares at unbelievably low prices for a week's stay at fantastic destination resorts in Hawaii for the past few weeks on the various Estes Park relevant FB pages with no luck, which is not surprising, given that most Estes Park residents cannot read and do not know how to use...

Are all Estes Park restaurants destined to be not good?

Maybe they should change their name to "Bird and Bugs" The latest entry in the fair (and we're not talking county fair) is Bird and Jim's, which was beaten by a Fort Collins McDonald's, neither of which reached showed any excellence by being accorded the "excellent" rating.  Bleeech.  Why can't our Estes Park restaurants strive to be even good, let alone excellent?  Why must they always be mired in fair or marginal or unacceptable territory?  Are they unclean?  Are they consistently breaking standard rules of hygiene, food prep, and food storage?  Are they sloppy?  Do they only care about making money and skirting the fine line between half-assed and botulism?
